You can find our currently adoptable dogs here or view our Adoptable Dogs album on our Facebook page. All of our adoptable dogs are currently residing in foster homes. If you are interested in a meet and greet, get started by filling out our online application.
At the time of adoption, all of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and heartworm tested as appropriate for age, given flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and microchipped.
You must be 18+ and a Missouri resident to adopt with us. Check your HOA or lease for pet permissions.
We do not adopt our dogs to homes where they will be living outside on a chain, in a fenced yard, or in an outdoor kennel—that’s why our foster volunteers work hard to kennel and potty train our dogs so they can live inside as a part of your family.
Step 1: Application
The first step in our adoption process is completing an adoption application. This application provides us with important information about you, your household, and your experience with dogs. We review all applications carefully to determine the best potential homes for our dogs.
We are continuously reviewing applications and will be in touch within 7 days if your application was selected. Please keep an eye on your inbox and spam folder as we will email the chosen parties to discuss your application and set up a time to meet the dog you’ve applied for.
Step 2: Home Visit and Meet & Greet
If your application is selected, we will work with you to schedule a home visit and meet & greet. Home visits can be conducted in person or virtually, depending on your location and our resources. This allows us to assess your home environment and ensure it is safe for a dog. The meet & greet provides an opportunity for you to interact with the dog and determine if it is a good match for your family.
Before finalizing the adoption, we complete basic internet background checks and reference checks as applicable (e.g. veterinarians, landlords). This helps us to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our dogs.
Once we have approved your adoption application and you have met the dog, we will finalize the adoption process with an adoption contract and make arrangements for you to bring your new dog home.
